Red Sonja painting

This is a new painting I hope to make into a print for the Fan Expo this August in Toronto.  Still needs a few tweaks but it is just about done.

Samus doodles

Some thumbnail sketches... in colour.

Conan and Red Sonja

Just a fun colour sketch.. I tried to paint it up in an hour, but spent a put longer then that.

Mech Girls

A nerdy colour sketch with some girls in mech armour and light-saber like weapons.  I started with the intention of doing a quick and loose study but it kept getting more and more detailed.

dragon painting update

Did some more work on my latest painting.. I'm not sure about the pattern on the dragon though, it looks a little busy (and a bit too much like avatar), so I may go back to a solid colour. I am still working on the clouds, and I will add some kind of motion blurring to the effect to speed.

new work

Here is a new drawing and colour sketch.  I'm going to add some more details and adjust the lighting a lot more, but its a good start.

barbarian paintings, just about finished

My entries into the diablo three art contest.  One is a more classical fantasy type image, while the other is a more humorous look at the barbarian character.  After a few more touches and color tweaks I will enter them in the contest..

Work in Progress Barbarian Painting

An early paint over, then with a background blocked in and and detail added..

Diablo three art contest submission sketches

rough sketches for Diablo character

A few pages of collected character sketches ( I condensed 5 pages into 3), done for an upcoming art contest.  The character is a barbarian from Diablo three in various action poses.  I'm going to work out a few of the better ones, and then paint the best.

Fighter game character art

A couple quick paintings I did for an art contest, one featuring Maki and June and the other with Mai and Juri (all characters from various fighting games).  Alexi

layout sketch update

Some adjustments with my amazons vs. hydra sketch.. still moving things around before I start painting..

Amazons and Hydra

This is the pencil drawing for a new painting I am about to start.  It is made up of a group of sketches that I put together in photoshop.  Once I start painting I will have to adjust some of the poses and expressions (and eye directions) so everything works together.  I also added a super rough color idea..
